SECTION HEAD, EMBEDDED SOFTWARE
In collaboration with the management team of the Division, you are responsible for defining, communicating and executing the digitalization strategy in our focus area of Digital Health. In a multi-disciplinary environment, and in tight collaboration with the Division’s sections “Electronics” and “Signal Processing”, you will foster innovations in our medical device technology domain according the ISO-13485 standards. You will be in charge of the section’s operations, guide and motivate a team of roughly 12 persons, develop their competences and supervise the R&D activities of the section. You are responsible for the smooth running of the section’s business activities and its project portfolio, as well as for project acquisition and business negotiation together with the Business Development team of the Division. You will collaborate with the other sections and divisions within CSEM in a multi-disciplinary manner, as well as with our academic and industrial partners in Switzerland and worldwide. To ensure a smooth transition, an overlap with the current Section Head is foreseen.
You are an experienced Engineer with a Master or PhD in any fields related to Software, Real-time, Digital Electronics, and/or Medical Device Technology, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial management position. As a recognized expert in Embedded Software systems, you master both the high level overview as well as in-depth specifics in electronics and real-time software development such as C-language for embedded systems, microcontrollers, microprocessors, DSP, portable languages for mobile device applications and database applications. A proven track record in cloud computing and data handling is required, and know-how of medical device technologies a plus. Appreciated as an inspiring and motivating leader, you are able to listen and instill confidence to your team. You enjoy taking on new challenges, keep cool under pressure, and have a clear, result-oriented approach to your work. You are fluent in French and English; knowledge of German is a plus.
